چکیده

In this paper, we study the nonexpansive properties of a generalized forward–backward splitting (G-FBS) operator, particularly under setting degenerate metric, from which follow convergence results in terms metric associated fixed-point iterations. The descent lemma and sufficient decrease property are also extended to case. It is further shown that G-FBS operator provides simplifying unifying framework model analyze great variety algorithms, many existing exactly recovered or relaxed our general results.

Weighted Iterative Operator-Splitting Methods and Applications

The subject of our research is to solve accurately ODEs, which appear in mathematical models arising from several physical processes. For this purpose we develop a new class of weighted iterative operator splitting methods. We present applications to systems of linear ODEs, which might contain also stiff parameters. The benefit of the proposed method is demonstrated with regard to convergence r...

Consistency of Iterative Operator-Splitting Methods: Theory and Applications

In this paper we describe a different operator-splitting method for decoupling complex equations with multi-dimensional and multiphysical processes for applications for porous media and phase-transitions. We introduce different operator-splitting methods with respect to their usability and applicability in computer codes. The error-analysis for the iterative operator-splitting methods is discus...

Operator splitting

Operator splitting is a numerical method of computing the solution to a differential equation. The splitting method separates the original equation into two parts over a time step, separately computes the solution to each part, and then combines the two separate solutions to form a solution to the original equation. A canonical example is splitting of diffusion terms and convection terms in a c...

Convergence Analysis for Operator Splitting Methods

We analyze the order of convergence for operator splitting methods applied to conservation laws with stii source terms. We suppose that the source term q(u) is dissipative. It is proved that the L 1 error introduced by the time-splitting can be bounded by O((tkq(u 0)k L 1 (R)), which is an improvement of the O(Qt) upper bound, where t is the splitting time step, Q is the Lipschitz constant of q...

An A Posteriori-A Priori Analysis of Multiscale Operator Splitting

In this paper, we analyze a multiscale operator splitting method for solving systems of ordinary differential equations such as those that result upon space discretization of a reactiondiffusion equation. Our goal is to analyze and accurately estimate the error of the numerical solution, including the effects of any instabilities that can result from multiscale operator splitting. We present bo...
